CLOSED: Carousel - Can Can Cafe

I came here with two of my girlfriends the other night because we couldn't get a table at City Cellar. For a night on a weekend, there were not too many people there and we thought at least we would get our food quickly. We were dead wrong. We waited for 35 minutes before we were served below average salad. With no excitement, no quality food, and no staff who seem to know how to be upbeat, there is no reason to ever go here again.

Love this place. The food is very good and at good prices. It's very clean and the service is outstanding! We go there for special occasions and will continue to do so. Great place to bring friends and family!

Few weeks ago we stumbled on the Carousel by accident...we went City Place without reservations and tried to get in several places to eat...kept walking until we came across the Carousel, my wife was a little intimidated by the place, what brought me in was the menu posted outside...it truly reminded me of a Paris Bistro...the food was classic bistro...I had roasted chicken...my wife ordered fish...I know they sound bland and unimaginative...but in the hands of an expert...the taste can be sublime. Staff is warm, attentive, and courteous. By our third visit we were recognized as regulars, and greeted with a seemingly sincere welcome. It is best to describe exactly how you want your drinks made, as some traditional drinks are made with more creativity than I appreciate.

Crowded place, but the service is the worst. The staff has no clue what they are doing. Had a really bad experience there. Also they trashed what "Can-Can" should be like. It should be exotic and fun, not made by some strippers.

Prices are too high, (400 bucks for 6 people) for a dinner made in the microoven

My boyfriend and I went to Carousel Can Can Cafe on a Saturday night for his birthday. We made reservations ahead of time. When we are arrived we were greeted immediately we were kindly asked to wait few minutes while our table was prepared. We were sat at a booth that was very intimate and exactly what we were hoping for. The service was excellent, they were attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious and the price was just right. The music and the Can Can show was great and added to the enjoyment of the meal. The manager came to our table and chatted for a minute and was very kind and welcoming. All in all a fantastic experience. On the way out the manager shook our hands, thanked us and wished us luck. I would definitely go back and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for great food and a great price.
