cool atmosphere and cozy inside
Appetizers on the specials list looked good but didn’t try any. Snapper in ginger, cilantro, lime ($24) was very good but the crabcakes ($23) had way too much breading in comparison to all other places serving them. Key lime pie was very good. Cool little place inside…nice, quiet, and cozy.

A relentless rain soaked the streets of Northwood Village on the night we ducked into Sunset Bar & Grill, the funky salmon-colored building with zebra trim that anchors the corner of Broadway and 24th. Instantly, I felt it was a perfect spot to seek refuge from the deluge. The place glowed in the warm embrace of red walls, intimate lighting and Boho touches.
The bar bustled in a way favorite neighborhood bars do, and a good number of tables were filled in the adjacent dining room. Appointed with vivid paintings, vases and eclectic light fixtures, the place offers a cozy welcome without pretense or premeditated quirk.
And like the setting, the service is casual and friendly, we learned. More importantly, like the place, the food is beautifully homey - and all beautifully homemade.
