MENU

Big Al’s features a nice selection of hot and cold sandwiches, including authentic Philly cheesesteaks, turkey hoagies, deep-fried hot dogs and rib-eye sliders. Milkshakes made with Häagen-Dazs ice cream and cheese fries also are on the menu.

ATMOSPHERE

The eatery is brightly colored and cozy, with Philadelphia sports trivia and memorabilia decorating the walls.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We enjoyed our sandwiches, so it was tough to pick a favorite. My husband went with a Philly cheese-steak ($8.45 for a 9-inch) with onions and peppers, while I chose a Chicken Philly ($8.75) with grilled chicken, provolone cheese and peppers. We shared a side order of fries ($2.75). Our kids went with a kid Philly ($4.49) and chicken nuggets ($4.49).

REASON TO GO

Excellent cheesesteaks and sandwiches, and customers can watch a ballgame or two while dining.

SERVICE

Diners order at the counter, so there is no table service. Our food, though, was prepared quickly and brought to the table.

NOISE LEVEL

Hardly any. We arrived early on a Friday night, and there were few customers in the eatery.

KID FRIENDLY

Definitely. Kids’ options include chicken nuggets, turkey sandwiches and cheesesteaks. All meals are served with fries and a drink.

Avoid- grease like you wouldn't believe!

I didn't think I'd be getting health food here, but I was shocked at the sandwich that I got- the roll was soaked through with grease. I asked why they they put mayo on it & they told me that it was actually american cheese.
In addition, the prices are way out of line.
I will say that the staff was cool, but that's the only positive.

good philly cheesesteaks

This is one of the better philly cheesesteaks you will find in the area unless you are a pcs authentic connoisseur extremist.
