MENU
The menu is upscale without being overwhelming. The flavor combinations are creative and enticing. Entrees range in price from a $25 tandoori-spiced roasted free-range chicken, to a $45 roasted veal chop with four cheese polenta. (Full review)

Cafe's fare delicious from start to finish
Wednesday, April 27, 2005

Cafe Chardonnay is as close to dining perfection as one can get. My date and I arrived at 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday and were surprised to be seated immediately. Lucky us, because reservations are highly recommended at the well-known eatery.

The restaurant ¿ with an ambience of white linens and romantic golden lighting ¿ was buzzing with business, yet quiet enough for conversation.

The biggest challenge of the evening was deciding which of the dinner creations to order. The menu, with dishes that would entice a great chef's palate¿ was a culinary read.

We began by sharing the beefsteak tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad ($11), topped with fresh basil and drizzled with an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing. Simple and delicious.

My date ordered one of the evening's specials ¿ butter-basted Maine lobster ($34) which was served atop a risotto that was seasoned with port wine, (Full review)

disappointing

Had heard so much about this restaurant so chose it for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend.. we had requested a romantic table...they sat us upstairs and the table made it difficult for us to carry on intimate dinner conversation, they refused to move us, and then seated an unescorted female next to us who then proceeded to flirt with my boyfriend ---bad decision on seating by management!!! I told management about our experience and 'she' rudely said: 'well we cannot control out clients' Add to this, the mediocre overpriced dinner and needless to say, we have already told about 20 people about this negative experience...
