My buddy took me to dinner to the Palm Beach Steakhouse the other night. First of all I was born here in West Palm Beach, and I have never heard of this place so It can't be that good.Boy was I wrong. They have a special Dinner menu which I assume is like an early bird but for the price you can't beat it. $35 Gets you a full size appetizer or salad, an entree(at least 12 to choose from) and dessert. OH and a glass of wine. How do they do it and stay in business??? Now to the important part. The food was delicious.I've eaten steak at the best in the country:Burns in Tampa, Gibsons in Chicago, Mortons, Shulas etc...... The way this steak is prepared is what I believe makes it superb. The chef says they use a special grill that cooks the whole steak at one time at 1600 degrees as opposed to cooking 1 side at a time. I assume this seals the steak and causes it to retain it's juices.
If you do go make sure to order their version of potatoes au gratin. They are out of this world!!!
