The ocean waves are chaotic, hypnotic outside the broad windows of the Seafood Bar at The Breakers Palm Beach Resort, where I’ve got a front-row view of the quickly changing seascape of inky water and foamy white peaks.

And I’ve got something else that’s equally memorable: a seafood club and a glass of pinot noir. (Full review)

What exactly is American food? Perhaps it’s something comforting, like meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Or something regional, like Philly cheese steaks or Boston baked beans. Or something ethnic: Pizza may have been invented in Italy, but it came of age in 20th-century America. (Full review)
