Dr. Aiken is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine and served as resident and chief resident in Rehabilitation Medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He was Associate Director for Rehabilitation at York Hospital in Pennsylvania before assuming the role of Medical Director for Rehabilitation at Baptist Hospital in Miami in… Show more 1989.

Dr. Aiken is also an active member of Science Fiction Writers of America, having published four novels and several medically oriented science fiction short stories. He has lectured at both medical and science fiction conventions on topics in new and upcoming medical technology for rehabilitation.
