“Counterparts,” a new exhibition from the Phil Stern Gallery, juxtaposes the work of two famed photographers who captured stars such as Will Smith, Robert Redford, Brittany Murphy and Marilyn Monroe. The work tells a Hollywood story, according to photographer Robert Zuckerman, who collaborated with the world-renowned, 93-year-old shooter Phil Stern. Even with a 40 or 50 year gap in some of the photos, the exhibition points to how photography transcends generations.
