John G’s is famous for many things: its cinnamon-nut French toast, its fish and chips, even its fruit platters. But most of all, it’s famous for being famous. There’s almost a legend that’s come to surround the line outside its door: Some regulars seem to wear their wait times as a badge of pride. As in, “We once waited two hours on a Sunday to get in. Can you believe that?”
