True to its name, Havana Hideout is a getaway in the middle of downtown Lake Worth. Palms and tiki huts shield the outdoor dining area from Lake Avenue traffic, and they can even make the spot easy to overlook.
Don't make that mistake.

Great food!!!

I love this place for a drink and a quick meal. The food is real and you can taste the preperation that went into it. The tacos are unique and the sangrias go great with the menu.

awsome food and courtious staff

I cannot believe anyone who goes to Havana Hideout could leave this wonderful establishment less than satisfied and totally in love with the hard-working, attentive staff and great food. The owner and chef has turned what was once a very seedy eyesore in downtown Lake Worth into an oasis for people looking for great tasting, economical Latin style street food. The staff and owner have obviously put in a lot of very hard work and it shows in both quality of cuisine and attention to the needs of it's customers. It is an oasis for it's loyal customers who I believe think of this little gem of a bar as their own. They know they are always going to be greeted with a smile and a staff who are more like friends than employees. This is exactly the kind of place that is an example of what can be achieved if someone works hard enough and pays attention to it's customers. Chrissy Benoit, the owner and chef has really had a positive impact on not only her customers, as expressed by their continued loyalty, myself included, but for Lake Worth through her numerous charitable functions she has hosted. It is an oasis, where one can relax with friends, either in the bar or out under the Tiki huts in the gardens which reminds me of many island bars found in the Caribbean. I know anyone who goes here will not leave unhappy they tried it.

review on a reviewer

anonymous huh? Well I'll gladly say who I am. I'm Chrissy Benoit, owner of Havana Hideout, and me and my staff bust our behinds everyday to show love to our customers. It is sad that a person who doesnt even want to say his name, can try to do damage to an honest hard working place. "Joe," as he calls himself on myspace, which he just joined to contact me, waited 25 minutes, then threw the food at my guy in the kitchen. Then he went home and like some 12 year olds, phoned in a prank to go order, that he never picked up. Now as he threatened to do, he has posted this false event everywhere he can....must be nice to have so much free time on your hands huh? Thanks to all the people who support us, you are loved!

customers get shafted

This restaurant could have a lot of positive going for it, but they have little interest in mastering the customers’ experience. I ordered 2 items and waited for an hour for the food to be prepared. The bartender told me my food was being bagged up, and twenty minutes later--still no food. When I opened the box I saw that there were raisins and other ingredients that I don't eat, that weren’t listed on the menu. When I tried to exchange the item, they gave me the shaft--a cardinal sin in the restaurant industry. Beware of Havana Hideout!
