Ben’s Deli in Boca Raton provides a nostalgia trip for those from New York City and its environs. The thick sandwiches, soups, brisket and stuffed cabbage are among its offerings.

Ben's Deli - good food / good service

I read the only other review on this site & thought it was a shame that it is the only one posted. My husband & I have been to the original Ben's in NY & loved the food. When we found one in South Florida, we made it a point to go there every time we were in the area. And we have NEVER been disappointed with either the quality of the food or the service. The servers have been helpful with suggestions when asked, and always polite to us. We have found that when you have a good attitude towards others, it tends to be returned. And in terms of cost -- you DO get what you paid for. The person writing the only other posting appears to NOT be familiar with Kosher-style restaurants. The food cost is high due to the additional standards applied. BUT the amount of food you receive for the price is huge -- it matches the price. It is hard not to leave there without a doggie-bag in tow. So that review is probably should proabbly either become familiar with true Kosher-style restaurants, or, stick with what might be his apparently typicl level of eating -- cheap fast food. (Sorry to have to say it that way, but people who whine annoy me -- they either need to learn to speak up or move on so they stop making not just their own lives misearable, but all those around them).

Nasty snobbish and goyishe service

If you don't mind rude argumentative treatment as well as overpriced entrees and sandwiches this place is for you. Not only do they lack the hamishe warmth of so many of their competitors, but their effete and snobbish manners just make the whole experience of eating there miserable. This place feels like a snooty Boca Raton overly haughty and very goyishe phoney high class joint. But it's not just the arrogant condescending demeanor of the staff and management. The food just isn't worth the prices they demand. Overall you feel cheated and abused when you make the mistake of travelling here just to eat a chemical tasting pastrami sandwich that they charge extra for if you ask for lean, without telling you until it;s too late and the bill has arrived. When I politely suggested they tell you of the extra charge, I received a pompous tongue-lashing by the rude manager who overheard my plea, only to treat me in the discourteous fashion. Take it from me, this just isn't the nice Jewish deli that you should expect. It's a royal rip-off and upsetting experience. I could list at least 5 better choices, but that would reflect the same rudeness that you receive when you eat here. I wouldn't go back even if I were starved and there were no other places to go.
